I’ve had my 8 -year old miniature poodle rescue for almost five months, and have tried more dog foods than I can count. He’s extremely picky and I only want the best for him, resulting in spending $$$$ on every premium dog food available: raw frozen, raw freeze dried, fresh frozen, air dried, frozen meats cooked sous vide, you name it. As a senior, his teeth are not great, and he had to have six teeth extracted at his first vet appointment post-adoption resulting in him having trouble chewing hard kibble. The first time I felt a piece of TRMC venison with mussels recipe (I was squeezing every bag at the pet supply store!), I was thrilled the texture was soft and jerky like, making it easy to tear apart into smaller pieces—plus I knew my pup wouldn’t have any issues chewing it. He absolutely loved this food and I can see why many use this as a high value treat when training! I especially like that this company makes their food a completely balanced meal by adding vegetables and vitamins, not to mention the bones, liver and organs, and green lipped mussels for added mobility support. It really is the perfect food! AND much less expensive than Ziwi (FYI their pieces are hard and I had to add bone broth and let it sit to soften it up enough before my dog could eat it) who is their main competitor along with Kiwi (not a typo and not to be mistaken for Ziwi; they are two different brands). I like that TRMC is local and uses quality ingredients. Resealable bag is thoughtful and convenient. I’m so happy they offer so many flavors and will order the variety sample pack next as I plan to rotate flavors each purchase for variety, and to avoid him developing allergies. I placed my first order yesterday after my Service Dog Trainer recommended this brand as the best training treats for my 9 month old Belgian Malinois Aussie Shepherd Mix. At first, I had placed the order for a different product, however the Business Owner personally helped me correct my order to get the one I wanted, Boosters Lamb and Fish with Mussles for Joint Support for my little girl. The ingredients are very high quality and I look forward to receiving her new healthy Treats tomorrow! My trainer already uses them in the Turkey Venison flavor and she loves them!
